Myofascial Release (MFR)

James Oschman Quote

What Does “Myofascia” Mean?

Myo means muscle and fascia is the connective tissue underneath your skin that is like a body suit on the inside. It covers and penetrates every muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein as well as all of your internal organs including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord.

Fascia allows us to move freely, breathe properly and perform our daily tasks pain-free.

It is soft tissue that has tremendous tensile strength of up to 2,000 pounds per square inch.

Myofascial Release is:

  • a gentle way to relieve pain and increase range of motion.
  • a whole body approach to wellness.
  • a very gentle, effective hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore range of motion.

The fascia in your body is all connected, from the top of your head to the tips of your toes, without interruption. Each part of the body is connected to every other part through the fascia.

What is Wrong?

I can’t turn my head.

I have a pain between my shoulder blades.

My lower back kills.

My shoulder burns.

I can’t lift my arm.

Myofascial Release can help!
